If you are already in pretty good shape but just don't have those shadows and lines that make a ripped body ripped... then you might need to be eating more. It is not easy at this point in you fitness lifestyle. How much more? My suggestion is to first go out and purchase a body fat scale. You can go to Bed Bath & Beyond and pick one up for only $40. Then measure you body fat and record it. Now you probably have been weight training for some time... hopefully... and I suggest you increase your daily calorie intake by at least 350 calories. If you are just eating 3 main meals a day, then you need to start off and add two more. Make them snacks and try to consume approximately 250 calories during these. This should put you up there where you need to be. You will continue to grow muscle, which will eat your fat, and you will get ripped!


When you are weight training, how much do you lift? Better yet are you lifting enough that by the 10th or 12th rep you are struggling to complete it? Well you better be. This might very well be something that is inherent in the back of our minds... you don't want to life too much and get huge. The funny thing is unless you are either eating an exorbitant amount of calories or taking steroids, you will not get too big. You need to push your weight and strength training to new heights very often. If you do not either add weight or add an extra rep during the next workout, you will not be growing new muscles. Remember that these muscles eat your fat and get you ripped!
